Who are they and what do they do?
The Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) is an independent body that advises the Government on foreign investment policy and its administration of property to international buyers. The FIRB receives proposals by foreigners who wish to invest in Australia process them. The FIRB then makes recommendations to the appropriate Government bodies as to whether that particular proposals is suitable for approval under the current statutory policy.
